Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
