The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WOE TO THOSE who give short measure, 1 Those who when they take the measure from mankind demand it full, 2 Whereas when they give others after measuring or weighing, they give them less! 3 Do they not realise that they will be raised to life 4 unto a mighty day 5 The day when everyone will stand before the Lord Of The Creation. 6 Woe to them! Let them know that the records of the sinner's deeds are in Sijin. 7 What could let you know what the Sijjeen is! 8 A Register inscribed. 9 Woe, then, to those that give the lie, 10 Those that deny the Day of Judgment. 11 and none cries lies to it but every guilty aggressor. 12 When Our revelations are recited before him, he says: "These are fables of long ago." 13 By no means! Aye! encrusted upon their hearts is that which they have been earning. 14 On the Day of Judgment, they will certainly be barred from the mercy of their Lord. 15 Then they shall roast in Hell, 16 and be told: "This is the [very thing] to which you were wont to give the lie!" 17 But, the record of the righteous is [preserved] in the 'Illiyyin -- 18 And what will make you know what 'Illiyyun is? 19 A book inscribed, 20 witnessed by those brought nigh. 21 Verily the virtuous shall be in Delight, 22 On thrones, they shall gaze; 23 You shall see upon their faces the glow of bliss. 24 They will be served a drink of the finest sealed wine, 25 Whose seal is musk - for this let (all) those strive who strive for bliss - 26 Blended with the water of Tasnim, (heights ultimate of evolution), 27 The spring from which drink the ones close to Allah. 28 Indeed the guilty used to laugh at the believers. 29 when they passed by them, they would wink at one another; 30 and whenever they return to people of their own kind, they return full of jests; 31 And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost." 32 But they (disbelievers, sinners) had not been sent as watchers over them (the believers). 33 So, the believers will laugh at the infidels on that day, 34 On (high) thrones, looking (at all things). 35 Surely the disbelievers are rewarded as they did. 36
