The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to those who give less [than due], 1 Who, when they take the measure (of their dues) from men take it fully, 2 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. 3 What! Do they not expect that they will be raised? 4 unto a mighty day 5 A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds? 6 Indeed! The record of the wicked is in the Sijjin -- 7 And what could make thee conceive what that that mode inescapable will be? 8 It is a comprehensively written Book (of records). 9 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 10 Who deny the Day of Recompense. 11 No one rejects it except the sinful transgressors 12 When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples." 13 No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning. 14 Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled. 15 Then lo! they verily will burn in hell, 16 and it will be said to them: 'This is that which you belied' 17 But, the Book of the righteous is in the 'Illiyoon. 18 Would that you knew what Illiyin is! 19 (It is) a marked Book, 20 To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah). 21 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure 22 On adorned couches, observing. 23 You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure. 24 They will be served the choicest wine, sealed 25 Whose seal is musk - for this let (all) those strive who strive for bliss - 26 It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim. 27 a fountain at which the chosen ones shall drink. 28 Behold, the sinners were laughing at the believers, 29 And wink one to another when they passed them; 30 And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting; 31 and when they saw the believers, they said: “Lo! These are the erring ones”; 32 Yet they were not sent as guardians over them. 33 But on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers: 34 On high thrones, watching. 35 Did not the disbelievers get repaid for what they used to do? 36
