The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Woe to the defrauders, 1 who, when people measure for them, take full measure, 2 but, when they measure for them or weigh for them, do skimp. 3 Imagine such men not that they shall be raised up? 4 on a Great Day, 5 the Day when all men shall stand before the Sustainer of all the worlds? 6 No indeed, the Book of the immoral is in Sijjeen. 7 and what shall teach thee what is Sijjin? 8 A book inscribed. 9 Woe, then, to those that give the lie, 10 Those who deny the Day of Justice. 11 And none deny it except every sinful transgressor. 12 When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients!" 13 By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do! 14 No indeed; but upon that day they shall be veiled from their Lord, 15 Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell. 16 and it will be said to them: 'This is that which you belied' 17 Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the Iliyin. 18 And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is? 19 It is a written book, 20 The ones nearest to God will bring it to public. 21 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous will indeed be in bliss: 22 resting on couches, looking around. 23 Thou wilt know in their faces the radiance of delight. 24 They will be given to drink pure sealed wine. 25 The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete. 26 for it is composed of all that is most exalting 27 a spring, the nearest ones to God will drink from it. 28 Surely they who are guilty used to laugh at those who believe. 29 when they passed by them, they would wink at one another; 30 And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting; 31 and when they saw the believers, they said: “Lo! These are the erring ones”; 32 Yet they were not sent as guardians over them. 33 This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers, 34 [for, resting in paradise] on couches, they will look on [and say to themselves]: 35 Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did? 36
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
