The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
WOE TO THOSE who give short measure, 1 Those who when they take the measure from others, take it in full! 2 but when they give by measurement or weight to others, they give them less. 3 Imagine such men not that they shall be raised up? 4 on a fateful Day. 5 The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds? 6 No indeed, the Book of the immoral is in Sijjeen. 7 And what will explain to thee what Sijjin is? 8 it is a written record. 9 Woe on that Day to those who belied it, 10 Those that deny the Day of Judgment. 11 And none deny it except every sinful transgressor. 12 who, when listening to Our revelations, say, "These are only ancient legends". 13 No. In fact what they have been doing has rusted their hearts. 14 Yes indeed they will be deprived of seeing their Lord on that day. 15 Then most surely they shall enter the burning fire. 16 They will then be told: "This is what you had denied." 17 Indeed the record of the virtuous is in the highest place, the Illiyin. 18 and what shall teach thee what is Illiyun? 19 (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed, 20 witnessed by those brought nigh. 21 Verily the pious will be in heaven, 22 [resting on couches, they will look up [to God]: 23 On their faces you will see the glow of beatitude. 24 They will be given a drink of pure wine whereon the seal [of God] will have been set, 25 its seal will be of musk -- for this let the aspirants aspire -- 26 And the admixture of it is a water of Tasnim, 27 A spring whereof drink those nearest to Allah. 28 BEHOLD, those who have abandoned themselves to sin are wont to laugh at such as have attained to faith 29 And whenever they passed by them, used to wink one to another (in mockery); 30 and whenever they return to people of their own kind, they return full of jests; 31 And when they saw them, they said: verily these are the strayed ones. 32 Yet they were not sent as watchers over them. 33 But this Day (the Day of Resurrection) those who believe will laugh at the disbelievers 34 On adorned couches, observing. 35 The infidels have indeed been rewarded for that which they had been doing. 36
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
