The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe unto the scrimpers: 1 those who demand a full measure from others 2 And who, when they measure unto them or weigh for them, diminish. 3 Do such (men) not consider that they will be raised again 4 On a Mighty Day, 5 a Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the Universe? 6 No indeed, the Book of the immoral is in Sijjeen. 7 And what will make thee know whatsoever the record in Sijjin is? 8 A record of misdeeds written. 9 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 10 those that give the lie to the Day of Recompense. 11 Which none denieth save each criminal transgressor, 12 When Our revelations are conveyed to him, he says, "Fables of the ancients!" 13 No indeed; but that they were earning has rusted upon their hearts. 14 No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned. 15 Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell. 16 Then it shall be said to them, 'This is that you cried lies to.' 17 However, the records of the deeds of the virtuous ones will certainly be in Illiyin. 18 Ah, what will convey unto thee what 'Illiyin is! - 19 (It is) a marked Book, 20 witnessed by those who are near (to Allah). 21 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 22 On thrones, watching. 23 upon their faces thou wilt see the brightness of bliss. 24 They will be given to drink of pure wine, sealed. 25 Its seal is upon musk; and for this should those who crave be eager. 26 a wine tempered with the waters of Tasnim, 27 The spring from which drink the ones close to Allah. 28 Surely they who are guilty used to laugh at those who believe. 29 And winked at one another as they passed by them; 30 And whilst returning to their homes, they used to return rejoicing. 31 On seeing the believers, they would say, "These people have gone astray". 32 No one has appointed them to watch over the believers. 33 This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers, 34 while reclining on couches and reviewing (the bounties given to them). 35 Have those who deny the truth [not] been paid back for their deeds? 36
