The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to the diminishers, 1 Who insist on being given full when they take from others, 2 but, when they measure for them or weigh for them, do skimp. 3 Do they not realize that they will be resurrected 4 for a great Day, 5 when mankind will stand before the Lord of the Universe? 6 No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen. 7 How will you comprehend what Sijjin is? 8 A written record. 9 Woe, on that Day, to those who reject, 10 Who call the Day of judgement a lie! 11 No one rejects it except the sinful transgressors 12 When Our revelations are recited before him, he says: "These are fables of long ago." 13 Not at all – but rather their earnings have heaped rust upon their hearts. 14 Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled. 15 and then, behold, they shall enter the blazing fire 16 Further, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false! 17 But, the record of the righteous is [preserved] in the 'Illiyyin -- 18 And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is? 19 (It is) a marked Book, 20 To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah). 21 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure 22 upon couches gazing; 23 upon their faces thou wilt see the brightness of bliss. 24 They will be given a drink of pure wine, sealed, 25 With a sealing of musk, which those who aspire for the best should desire, -- 26 and whose mixture is Tasnim, 27 A fountain from which only they who are honoured drink. 28 Verily! (During the worldly life) those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. 29 And wink one to another when they passed them; 30 And whilst returning to their homes, they used to return rejoicing. 31 And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray. 32 though they were not sent to be their keepers -- 33 So, the believers will laugh at the infidels on that day, 34 as they (recline) upon their couches and gaze (around them). 35 Will not the disbelievers then be duly recompensed for their laughing at the believers? 36

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
