The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to those who are fraudulent in (weighing and measuring), 1 Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure, 2 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. 3 Imagine such men not that they shall be raised up? 4 unto a mighty day 5 A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds? 6 Indeed! The record of the wicked is in the Sijjin -- 7 Would that you knew what Sijin is!? 8 It is a (repository of) distinctly written record. 9 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 10 and those who have rejected the Day of Judgment. 11 and none cries lies to it but every guilty aggressor. 12 who, when listening to Our revelations, say, "These are only ancient legends". 13 Nay, but that which they have earned is rust upon their hearts. 14 Indeed! On that Day a barrier will be set between them and their Lord, 15 Then they will indeed burn in Hell. 16 Then, it will be said to them: "This is what you used to deny!" 17 No indeed! Verily, the deeds of the virtuous shall be in the record of the exalted ones. 18 And what will make thee know whatsoever the record in Illiyun is? 19 A record [indelibly] inscribed, 20 Attested by those who are brought near (unto their Lord). 21 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure 22 (reclining) upon couches they will gaze, 23 and in their faces you shall know the radiance of bliss. 24 They will be given to drink pure sealed wine. 25 whose seal is musk – so let all aspirants aspire after that – 26 And it is mixed with Tasneem. 27 a fountain at which the chosen ones shall drink. 28 Behold, the sinners were laughing at the believers, 29 and whenever they pass by them, they wink at one another [derisively]; 30 and when they returned to their people they returned blithely, 31 and whenever they see those [who believe,] they say: "Behold, these [people] have indeed gone astray!" 32 Yet they were not sent as guardians over them. 33 So, the believers will laugh at the infidels on that day, 34 Reclining on couches, looking on. 35 Did not the disbelievers get repaid for what they used to do? 36
