The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven breaks apart. 1 And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful, 2 when the earth flattens out, 3 and casts forth what is in it, and voids itself, 4 And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; 5 O man! surely you must strive (to attain) to your Lord, a hard striving until you meet Him. 6 Then whoso is given his account in his right hand 7 will be easy, 8 And he shall go back to his people joyful. 9 But whoso is given his account behind his back, 10 He will invoke (his) destruction, 11 and roast at the Blaze. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 thinking he would never revert (to Us). 14 Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him. 15 Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 And the night and all it gathers, 17 and the moon, as it grows to its fullness: 18 [That] you will surely experience state after state. 19 What aileth them, then, that they believe not 20 and when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 In fact, they reject the Quran, 22 and Allah knows very well what they gather. 23 Hence, give them the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come] 24 But those who believe and work righteous works, theirs shall be a hire unending. 25
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
