The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky has split [open] 1 And obeys its Lord and it must. 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 and casts out what is within it and is emptied, 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 Human being, you strive hard to get closer to your Lord, and so you will certainly receive the recompense (of your deeds). 6 he who is given his record in his right hand 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 and shall return to his people joyfully. 9 And as to him who is given his book behind his back, 10 He will cry out for destruction 11 And he shall roast into a Blaze. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 thinking he would never revert (to Us). 14 Yea! his Lord had ever been beholding him. 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 The Night and its Homing; 17 or by the moon when it is full, 18 That you will climb from stage to stage. 19 So, wherefore do they not believe? 20 And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah)? ۩ 21 In fact the unbelievers disavow. 22 and God knows very well what they are secreting. 23 Wherefore announce thou unto them a torment afflictive. 24 Except those who believe and do good; for them is a reward that shall never be cut off. 25
