The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 hearing and obeying its Lord, as it must do; 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 and casts out what is within it and is emptied, 4 and obeys its Lord as it must, 5 Thou, verily, O man, art working toward thy Lord a work which thou wilt meet (in His presence). 6 Then, he who is given his Book in his right hand 7 he shall surely receive an easy reckoning 8 and will return rejoicing to his family. 9 And as to him who is given his book behind his back, 10 shall cry for “perdition,” 11 And shall enter a blazing Fire, and made to taste its burning. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 for he never thought that he would have to return [to God]. 14 But no; (how would he not revert)? His Lord was ever watching him. 15 I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 And by the night and all that it enshroudeth, 17 And by the moon when it is at the full, 18 you shall proceed onwards from stage to stage. 19 What is the matter with them? Why do they not believe? 20 And when the Quran is recited to them they do not make obeisance? ۩ 21 In fact, they reject the Quran, 22 Allah knows best what they are accumulating (in their Record). 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 Save those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them is a reward that will never come to an end (i.e. Paradise). 25
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
