The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is sundered. 1 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 and casts forth whatever is in it, and becomes utterly void, 4 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should. 5 O man, you are striving unto your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 Then, as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, 7 will be easy, 8 And return to his people in happiness. 9 but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, 10 Soon will he cry for perdition, 11 but he will enter the blazing flame. 12 Once, he lived joyfully among his family 13 he surely thought he would never revert. 14 But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing. 15 But nay! I swear by the sunset redness, 16 and by the night and what it enfolds, 17 And by oath of the moon when it is full. 18 that you shall surely ride from stage to stage. 19 But what is the matter with them that they do not believe, 20 and when the Koran is recited to them they do not bow? ۩ 21 Instead, the unbelievers reject it, calling it a lie. 22 God is quite aware of what they are storing in their hearts. 23 Hence, give them the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come] 24 But those who believe and work righteous works, theirs shall be a hire unending. 25
