۞ When the heaven breaks apart. 1 And it hearkeneth to its Lord, and is duteous. 2 And when the earth is spread out. 3 and casts out all that is within and voids itself, 4 And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; 5 O human, you are working hard towards your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 And as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, 7 He surely will receive an easy reckoning, 8 and he shall return to his people, joyfully, 9 And as to him who is given his book behind his back, 10 Soon will he cry for perdition, 11 And enter into burning fire. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 he surely thought he would never revert. 14 Surely yes, why not? Indeed his Lord is seeing him. 15 BUT NAY! I call to witness the sunset's [fleeting] afterglow, 16 by the night and what it covers, 17 by the moon, in its fullness 18 That you shall most certainly enter one state after another. 19 What is the matter with them, that they do not believe 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]? ۩ 21 In fact the disbelievers keep denying. 22 and Allah knows very well what they gather. 23 So announce to them a painful torment. 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds – for them is a reward that will never end. 25
