The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the sky is rent asunder 1 And attentive to her Lord in fear, 2 And when the earth is spread out 3 and casts out all that is within and voids itself, 4 And attentive to her Lord in fear! 5 O man, you have to strive and go on striving towards your Lord, then will you meet Him. 6 Then, as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, 7 He surely will receive an easy reckoning, 8 And return to his people in happiness. 9 But he who is given the Record behind his back, 10 he shall call for destruction 11 and will enter the Blazing Fire. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 thinking he would never revert (to Us). 14 Yea! his Lord had ever been beholding him. 15 BUT NAY! I call to witness the sunset's [fleeting] afterglow, 16 by the night and what it covers, 17 And the moon when at the full, 18 Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage. 19 But what is the matter with them that they do not believe, 20 And that, when the Qur'an is read unto them, they prostrate not them-selves! ۩ 21 Nay, but the unbelievers are crying lies, 22 And Allah well knows what they conceal in their hearts. 23 So give them good tidings of a painful chastisement, 24 unless it be such [of them] as [repent, and] attain to faith, and do good works; for theirs shall be a reward unending! 25
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
