The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is rent asunder 1 obeying its Sustainer, as in truth it must; 2 And when the earth is spread out. 3 and casts forth whatever is in it, and becomes utterly void, 4 and obeys its Lord as it must, 5 [then,] O man - thou [that] hast, verily, been toiling towards thy Sustainer in painful toil - then shalt thou meet Him! 6 Whoever is given the Record in his right hand 7 Soon an easy account will be taken from him. 8 And return to his people in happiness. 9 but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, 10 Soon he will pray for death. 11 But will be roasted in the fire. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 Verily, he thought that he would never come back (to Us)! 14 Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him. 15 So I swear by the afterglow of sunset; 16 And [by] the night and what it envelops 17 And the Moon in her fullness: 18 You will surely go up level by level. 19 What aileth them, then, that they believe not 20 Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 In fact the disbelievers keep denying. 22 and Allah knows very well what they gather. 23 (Muhammad), tell them that they will all suffer a painful torment 24 Except those who believe and do good; for them is a reward that shall never be cut off. 25
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
