The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder 1 And it listens to the command of its Lord – and that befits it. 2 And when the earth is spread out. 3 And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 O man, indeed you have to surely run towards your Lord, and to meet him. 6 So whoever is given his record of deeds in his right hand – 7 Will have an easy reckoning, 8 and shall return to his people joyfully. 9 And as to him who shall be given his book from behind his back 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. 12 He verily lived joyous with his folk, 13 Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah]. 14 Nay, but lo! his Lord is ever looking on him! 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 And [by] the night and what it envelops 17 or by the moon when it is full, 18 you will progress from stage to stage. 19 What is the matter with them that they do not accept faith? 20 And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate? (Command of Prostration # 13) ۩ 21 But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it). 22 but God knows best whatever they accumulate in their hearts. 23 (Muhammad), tell them that they will all suffer a painful torment 24 except the righteously striving believers, who will receive a never-ending reward. 25
