The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder 1 And obeys its Lord and it must. 2 and when the earth is stretched out 3 And casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty, 4 And it listens to the command of its Lord and that befits it. 5 O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it. 6 And as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, 7 He truly will receive an easy reckoning 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 But whoso is given his account behind his back, 10 Will pray for death, 11 but he will enter the blazing flame. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 Verily, he thought that he would never come back (to Us)! 14 Yea indeed! His Sustainer did see all that was in him! 15 So indeed I call to witness the evening twilight, 16 and the night, and what it [step by step] unfolds, 17 And the moon when at the full, 18 That you shall most certainly enter one state after another. 19 So, wherefore do they not believe? 20 and when the Koran is recited to them that they do not prostrate! ۩ 21 No, the unbelievers only belie, 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 Therefore, give them the news of a painful punishment. 24 Save those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
