The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder 1 And attentive to her Lord in fear, 2 And when the earth is stretched, 3 And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it] 4 And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; 5 Thou, verily, O man, art working toward thy Lord a work which thou wilt meet (in His presence). 6 And he who is given his ledger in his right hand 7 he will in time be called to account with an easy accounting, 8 and will [be able to] turn joyfully to those of his own kind. 9 But whosoever is given his Record behind his back, 10 Will pray for death, 11 and roast at the Blaze. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 and surely thought he would never return (to his Lord). 14 Why not? His Lord was always watching him. 15 So indeed I call to witness the evening twilight, 16 And [by] the night and what it envelops 17 And the moon when it grows full, 18 you shall surely ride stage after stage. 19 What is the matter with them that they do not accept faith? 20 Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; 22 And Allah knows best what they hide, 23 Wherefore announce thou unto them a torment afflictive. 24 except the righteously striving believers, who will receive a never-ending reward. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
