The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is rent asunder 1 And it hearkeneth to its Lord, and is duteous. 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 and casts forth what is in it, and voids itself, 4 and obeys its Lord as it must, 5 O Man! Thou art labouring unto thy Lord laboriously, and thou shalt encounter Him. 6 Then, he who is given his Book in his right hand 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 And return to his people in happiness. 9 And as to him who shall be given his book from behind his back 10 Soon will he cry for perdition, 11 And he shall roast into a Blaze. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us)! 14 Nay, nay! for his Lord was (ever) watchful of him! 15 I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 And the night and that which it drives on, 17 and the moon when it is at the full, 18 Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage. 19 So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe, 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them do not bow in adoration? ۩ 21 In fact the disbelievers keep denying. 22 and Allah knows very well what they gather. 23 So give them news of painful punishment, 24 Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail. 25
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
