The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven bursts asunder, 1 And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful, 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 And throws out whatever it contains and is empty, 4 And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; 5 O Man! Thou art labouring unto thy Lord laboriously, and thou shalt encounter Him. 6 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 He surely will receive an easy reckoning, 8 and he shall return to his people, joyfully, 9 But as for him who is given his book behind his back, 10 shall call for destruction 11 And enter into burning fire. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 and had thought that they would never be brought back to life again. 14 Yea! his Lord had ever been beholding him. 15 I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 and the night and what it envelops 17 And the Moon in her fullness: 18 Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage. 19 What aileth them then, that they believe not, 20 And when the Quran is recited to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; 22 And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. 23 So give them tidings of a painful punishment, 24 Except those who believe and do the right: For them there is reward unending. 25
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
