The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is torn apart, 1 And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful, 2 And when the earth is stretched forth, 3 And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it] 4 and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed! 5 O man! surely you must strive (to attain) to your Lord, a hard striving until you meet Him. 6 Then as to him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 Will have an easy reckoning, 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 But he who is given his ledger from behind his back 10 he will in time pray for utter destruction: 11 And be thrown to scorching fire. 12 Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness; 13 He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah). 14 Yes! Verily, his Lord has been ever beholding him! 15 But nay! I swear by the sunset redness, 16 and by the night and what it enfolds, 17 or by the moon when it is full, 18 That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. 19 Then what ails them, that they believe not, 20 And that, when the Qur'an is read unto them, they prostrate not them-selves! ۩ 21 In fact, they reject the Quran, 22 Allah knows best what they are accumulating (in their Record). 23 So give them tidings of a painful punishment, 24 Save those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
