The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is rent asunder 1 obeying its Sustainer, as in truth it must; 2 And when the earth is stretched, 3 and casts forth whatever is in it, and becomes utterly void, 4 and obeys its Lord as it must, 5 O thou man! Verily thou art ever toiling on towards thy Lord- painfully toiling,- but thou shalt meet Him. 6 Then, as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 and they will return to their people, delighted 9 But as for he who is given his record behind his back, 10 He surely will invoke destruction 11 But will be roasted in the fire. 12 Once, he lived joyfully among his family 13 thinking he would never revert (to Us). 14 But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing. 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 And by oath of the night and all that gathers in it. 17 and the moon when it is at the full, 18 that you shall surely ride from stage to stage. 19 What is the matter with them? Why do they not believe? 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]? ۩ 21 In fact the unbelievers disavow. 22 but God knows best whatever they accumulate in their hearts. 23 Hence, give them the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come] 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds for them is a reward that will never end. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
