The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the sky is rent asunder, 1 And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful, 2 And when the earth has been extended 3 and casts out all that is within and voids itself, 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 And as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, 7 He shall be reckoned with by an easy reckoning, 8 and they will return to their people, delighted 9 And whoever is given his record of deeds behind his back 10 He will cry out for destruction 11 and will enter the Blazing Fire. 12 Truly, did he go about among his people, rejoicing! 13 Verily he imagined that he would not be back. 14 But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing. 15 I swear by the glow of sunset, 16 and by the night and what it enfolds, 17 And the moon when it grows full, 18 You will surely go up level by level. 19 What, then, is amiss with them that they will not believe [in a life to come]? 20 And when the Quran is recited to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Nay, but the unbelievers are crying lies, 22 And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. 23 So announce to them a painful torment. 24 Except those who believe and do the right: For them there is reward unending. 25
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
