The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is rent asunder 1 in obedience to the commands of their Lord which are incumbent on them, 2 when the earth flattens out, 3 And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it] 4 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] - 5 O man! verily thou art toiling toward thy Lord a painful toiling, and art about to meet Him. 6 Whoever is given the Record in his right hand 7 He surely will receive an easy reckoning, 8 and shall return to his people joyfully. 9 But whoso is given his account behind his back, 10 He surely will invoke destruction 11 And he shall roast into a Blaze. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 Verily he imagined that he would not be back. 14 Yes indeed; his Lord had sight of him. 15 But nay! I swear by the sunset redness, 16 And by the night and that which it driveth together, 17 and the moon, as it grows to its fullness: 18 you will progress from stage to stage. 19 What is the matter with them, that they do not believe 20 And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate? (Command of Prostration # 13) ۩ 21 In fact, they reject the Quran, 22 but God knows best whatever they accumulate in their hearts. 23 So announce to them a Penalty Grievous, 24 Save those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing. 25
Almighty Allah's Truth.
