Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder 1 And it hearkeneth to its Lord, and is duteous. 2 and when the earth is leveled, 3 and casts out all that is within it and becomes empty; 4 and obeys its Lord as it must, 5 O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it. 6 And he who is given his ledger in his right hand 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 And return to his people in happiness. 9 But as for those whose Book of records will be given behind their backs, 10 he shall call for destruction 11 And he shall roast into a Blaze. 12 Truly, did he go about among his people, rejoicing! 13 Verily, he thought that he would never come back (to Us)! 14 But no; (how would he not revert)? His Lord was ever watching him. 15 I do not need to swear by the sunset, 16 And by the night and that which it driveth together, 17 And the moon when at the full, 18 [That] you will surely experience state after state. 19 Then what ails them, that they believe not, 20 Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 Nay! those who disbelieve give the lie to the truth. 22 Whereas Allah knoweth best that which they cherish. 23 So give them the good news of a painful chastisement, 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds – for them is a reward that will never end. 25
