The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
