The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 when they were seated over it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
