The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 by a burning fire 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
