The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 by the promised day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
