The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 By the Promised Day! 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
