The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
