The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
