The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 As they sat around it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
