Al-Burooj
The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
God the Almighty always says the truth.
