The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
