The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 When they sat by it, 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
