The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 while they sat around it, 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
