The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
