The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
