The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
