The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
