The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
