The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 As they sat around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
