The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
