The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
