The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And by the Day promised, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they sat by it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
