The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
