The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 while they sat around it, 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
