The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 By the Promised Day! 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
