The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
